Why we started together

The church needs support in her mission at this cultural moment.

We are sanctified in Jesus and called to be saints together (1 Cor 1:2). Communal life is powerful for mental health, so we equip church communities to meet practical challenges by deploying practical grace, wisdom, and comfort to bring healing and deepen our life together.

  • Paul Loosemore

    CO-FOUNDER & CONSULTANT

From Paul: “I’m thrilled you are here and want to get to know us and understand who we are. I love the church and I am excited when she thrives. The church is a complex place where theology, history, culture, values, personalities, and struggles all collide.

Quick fixes are tempting, but faithful lasting change is special. My longing to foster “together” in the church has grown through ministry and counseling as I have engaged with churches, ministries and hurting people on a wide range of issues. I have grown accustom to walking alongside others and attending to needs of those around us.

Paul is experienced in consulting and systems work. He serves as Professor and Director of the Counseling Department at Covenant Theological Seminary, and speaks, researches and writes about the impact of a Christian worldview on our formation and care.

  • Stewart Brenegar

    CO-FOUNDER & CONSULTANT

From Stewart: “I truly hope we get to collaborate on the process of change: from feeling stuck, to seeing new possibilities, to witnessing new growth. It will be a delight to walk with you as God brings encouragement and strength and freedom.

There is often deep pain in our churches and our individual lives, and there are practical steps for addressing that pain so that we might be sanctified together and formed more fully into the image of Jesus. The experience of coming together to bear one another’s burdens is transformative and points toward God’s new creation.”

Stewart currently provides psychotherapy to adults and couples in a private practice. He focuses on how people change, working with relational conflict and chronic trauma. He has a background in college and church ministry, and counsels pastors and elders around relational dynamics and systems theory.
